Ukraine: Barley Market

Prices for Ukrainian feed barley are estimated at 105-110 USD/metric tonne on FOB Black Sea basis for May 12, compared to 115-117 USD/metric tonne on May 10.

During March Ukraine exported 152,289 metric tonnes of barley of which 67,100 to Saudi Arabia, 23,913 to Tunis, 24,263 to Syria, 9,680 to Algeria, 8,302 to Greece, 5,969 to Israel, 4,022 to Italy, 4,993 to Lybia, 2,718 to Cyprus.

Since July 2004 till February 2005 Ukraine exported 3.94 million metric tonnes of barley and exported 7.3 thousand metric tonnes of barley for the period. For July 2003-June 2004 Ukraine exported 1.52 million metric tonnes of barley and imported 39.4 thousand metric tonnes of barley.
